  • Avatar Maniac How can I become motivated and WANT to exercise?
Nov 30, 2008 by Maniac | Posted in Diet & Fitness

Firstly, I am male. I am a bit overweight, but I rather want to exercise for health concerns, not weight reasons. I own an exercise bike, treadmill, BowFlex, and various weights along with a weightbench...and also a Wii …the cardiovascular body. I'm sure there's something out there that will work, I just can't quite find it just yet. I'm looking for real answers, not links to websites or answers that don't pertain to my issue. Thanks.

    • How about thought of joining a team sport. Competitive or social league, it's up to you. Having a team which expects to you to turn up & the chance to make some new friends should provide some motivation. Or maybe tra …, saving money on petrol or the chance for some quiet time, "active" transport has motivations to suit most people. Think outside the square, and you're find some activity that draws you in and keeps you hooked.

Its over $1,555.00 to purchase it. I wanted to know if it's really worth it thought, I originaly wanted to purchase a Treadmill or a elliptical machine. What are your thought ? Thank you for your answers. P.S. Its it easy to use or does it make your tire easily. I wanted to be able to work out on it an houre in the morning and a houre before bed. Does it work all parts of the body ?

    • I would go with an elliptical machine i used to be in a gym with Lifestyles, and they had 20 of the ellipticals, i don't think the Bowlflex or any machine in general is worth that much money, it depends on your metabolism how fast you lose weight or get in shape not a costly machine.

Im 14 years old...and my goal for the summer (before high school) is to lose some weight. i've got a good diet. im a vegan, but i do make sure that i get enough protein and vitamins, so i know thats not a problem. i just …t. my family own an eliptical, treadmill, and bowflex...and stuff like that...i was just wondering what the best exercise for weight loss was. i dont need imediate results--i've got like 2 months! but yeah...please help!

    • You need to combine exercise, eating right, and weights all together. Light weights will help you stay tone. Exercise will burn off those unwanted calories and tone also.
